Our Evolution

Since our foundation in 1991 we have been working with major UK retailers to help them protect themselves from retail theft. Initially this was through the supply and installation of CCTV networks into major retailers including Focus DIY, Ann Summers and Fraser Heart Jewellers.

In 2004, the focus of the business shifted. Following discussions at a trade fair with a leading retailer of mobile phones, the directors saw an opportunity to extend the business into the new and fast growing area of loss prevention products, which physically attach to the merchandise, such as cables, tags, loop alarms and safers.

In 2005 we won our first major contract with T-Mobile. Working alongside their shop fitting company we rolled out our anti-theft re-coiler system across their estate in both the UK and Europe. This was one of the very first such roll-outs in the UK and proved to be a highly successful model, subsequently adopted by many of T-Mobile's competitors.

Initially, we sold the products of just one major European designer and manufacturer, Necchi, securing the exclusive UK distribution rights in 2006. Since then we have extended the number of designers and manufacturers we work with in order to provide our customers with the widest possible choice of effective and innovative loss prevention solutions across all high risk product categories.

More recently Fasit went one step further with the design of its first own label product, the Safer Shell® (Patent Pending: GB 1402808.8) and, after a comprehensive trial, won its first full roll-out with the major supermarket chain Morrisons.

Today Fasit, in addition to its own products, works with a select group of suppliers to provide a full range of loss prevention products across all high-risk retail categories from health and beauty, high-end wine and spirits, all the way through to USB cards and meat. Innovation and customisation and a dedicated focus on finding the right loss prevention solution for each of our clients has been key to our past success and will remain central to our future.
